Crafted for us by the Girard Winery in Napa, that have decades-long relationships with growers along with small-batch fermentation techniques and meticulous blending, produce consistently award-winning wines and the S&W Red is no exception.

It is a fascinating blend. Girard source Merlot from Oakville & Rutherford which lend to the lush fruit components. The Cabernet Sauvignon for this blend from St. Helena, Oakville, Rutherford & Pope Valley. These regions offer dark fruit and well-integrated tannin development. The primary sources for Cab Franc and Petit Verdot came from the Pope Valley region of Napa that tends to allow for longer hang time. The Petite Verdot vineyards tend to be our last fruit brought in, allowing for very complex character and tannin development. The Malbec from Yountville adds mid-palate weight and juiciness.

Aromas blackberry, currant and vanilla bean interlace with notes of toasted spices. On the palate, flavours of chocolate-covered cherries and sweet tobacco unfold, revealing hints of mocha and boysenberry. Pairs exceptionally well with steak.
